Utilities disk that is included in your DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE package. After backing up this disk, print or show the file DISCOVER.DOC from the backup disk to begin to gain access to this information.

SOFTWARE MEDIA WARRANTY
BACKUP THE Disk FIRST

The micro floppy disk "DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE Software Utilities" is guaranteed to be free from defects only long enough to allow you to copy all of the tiles to backup disks. Never access any of the files on the original master disk, except to copy them. This disk has no copy protection. All of the files can be directly backed up to GEM formatted floppy or hard disks. Do not use a "disk to disk copy", copy the files instead. It you had enough time to run any of the programs, or show or print any of the documentation files, your media warranty has expired. In no case shall the warranty on the media exceed 90 days from the date of original purchase. It you encounter difficulties while copying files from the original disk, you should try a different source disk drive before returning the disk to HAPPY COMPUTERS. HARDWARE WARRANTY

The DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE hardware device is guaranteed to be tree from defect in materials and workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of the original retail purchase. During this 90 day period, HAPPY COMPUTERS will, at HAPPY COMPUTERS' option, replace a defective DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE with a non-defective unit, or repair defects in materials and workmanship, and provide standard carrier return shipment, at no charge to the original retail purchaser. To qualify for repair or replacement without charge, you must provide written proof of date of purchase during the warranty period.

HAPPY COMPUTERS will not reimburse you for any expenses incurred by you to analyze any problem with a detective unit. HAPPY COMPUTERS will not reimburse you for any expenses incurred to return a detective unit to HAPPY COMPUTERS for repair or replacement. it you return a DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE hardware device to HAPPY COMPUTERS for repair or replacement during the warranty period, and this device does not have any defects in materials or workmanship, you will be charged a minimum testing, service, and return postage tee of $30.00 for United States, and $40.00 for outside the United States. HAPPY COMPUTERS will require payment of this tee prior to the return of your unit to you. We recommend that you contact our t echnical staff prior to returning a board for warranty repair. What may appear to be a hardware problem may in tact be a usage error, or a problem with some hardware other than the DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE.

The 90 day warranty stated shall become null and void if any of the following conditions are true: 1) The unit has been tampered with or modified in any way, including but not limited to any option not installed by HAPPY COMPUTERS' factory. Options installed by your dealer will void HAPPY COMPUTERS' warranty. 2) The DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE has been subjected to abuse beyond normal wear. 3) Some circuit in a disk drive or computer connected to the DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE becomes detective, and electrically or mechanically damages the DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE. 4) A power surge or static electricity damages the DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE. 5) The DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE has been damaged by an electrical surge caused by plugging in or unplugging any connection while power is connected. HAPPY COMPUTERS has sole discretion in determining whether a unit's warranty is voided. HAPPY COMPUTERS has no responsibility for damage to any other item. HAPPY COMPUTERS may refuse to provide service for any DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE which has been modified in arty way, after it was shipped from our office. HAPPY COMPUTERS assumes no liability for loss of business or income due to malfunction of the DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE, nor any other liability for consequential damages. 1-his entire guarantee is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

WARRANTY EXCLUSION

Neither HAPPY COMPUTERS, Inc. nor any dealer or distributor makes any warranty, expressed or implied, with respect to the function of any software, or the accuracy of any documentation supplied with the DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE hardware device, concerning their performance, quality, merchantability, or fitness for any purpose. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to determine 'the suitability of these items, if any, for any purpose. In no case will HAPPY COMPUTERS, Inc. be held liable for direct, indirect or incidental damages resulting from any inaccuracy, defect or omission in software function or documentation supplied with the DISCOVERY CARTRIDGE hardware device, including but not limited to, any interruption of service, loss of business, anticipated profit, or other consequential damages. The function of all our products is subject to change without notice. HAPPY COMPUTERS, Inc. has no responsibility to inform you of updates or improvements. This warranty may be controlled by the laws of the district where the purchase took place.
