ATARI DALLAS PRODUCT ENGINEERING TECHNICAL BULLETINS
_________________________________________________________________

Atari Dallas Product Engineering is starting a new method for the
release of technical information to subsidiaries. Atari Dallas
will be distributing Technical Bulletins. Enclosed is the
distribution of the current bulletins.

Atari Technical Bulletins will be distributed to all subsidiaries
and will be used to cover various topics.

An example would be to summarize information in a critical ECO,
providing a faster path to alert the field concerning changes
defined in the ECO. Technical Bulletins are not replacing ECOs.
The purpose of the bulletin is to get critical information to the
field quicker.

The bulletins will be given numbers identifying them according to
the product involved. Bulletins will be distributed as often as
necessary to provide required information to the subsidiaries.

ATARI TECHNICAL BULLETINS - GENERAL INFORMATION

The following is the format that has been adopted for use in all
bulletins. Most fields are self-explanatory. To standardize the
form all fields will be included. If a field is not pertinent to
a particular ATB, it will be left blank or "N/A" inserted.

                         Atari Technical Bulletin (ATB)

Number: (FIRST THREE TO FOUR LETTERS INDICATE SUBJECT AREA)
Date:
Page 1 of X

Product(s) Affected: (ANY PRODUCT ENCLOSED IN PARENTHSIS INDICATES
A SEPARATE ATB HAS BEEN RELEASED FOR IT)

Model:
Type of ATB: (3 FIELDS - MANDATORY, AS NEEDED, OR INFORMATION ONLY)

"Mandatory", will be used for meeting safety
requirements and usually indicates a problem
that has to be resolved immediately.

"As needed", basically means that if you have
seen the problem use this fix or suggestion.

"Information only", is nice to know information
that will be generated to head off or prevent
                      problems before they occur.
