Notes: The Sub-PCB (flexible printed circuit board / keyboard) and Conductive Rubber Buttons, under the plastic key caps, can fail prematurely causing a switch closure, both when the switch is and is not depressed. Symptoms of Problem: Either the joystick and / or the A and B Fire Buttons do not respond properly when the game is being played. Solution of Problem: The LYNX II will have to be opened, in order to replace the Sub-PCB and the Conductive Rubber Buttons. The procedure is listed below : 1. Remove the bottom case 2. Disconnect all interconnections on the Printed Circuit Board 3. Remove LCD Assembly 4. Remove FPC Supporter Assembly 5. Completely disassemble the FPC Supporter 6. Remove all Rubber Guides and Rubber Contacts from the assembly 7. Remove Sub-PCB from the FPC Supporter 8. Replace new Sub-PCB on the FPC Supporter 9. Install new Rubber Contacts using the old Rubber Guides 10. Re-assemble the LYNX in the the opposite order of dis-asembly. 11.
