Notes: This change affects the REV B.1 and REV D main logic cards of the TT030. All rework must be done on the component side of the PCB. Keep all wires as short as possible. Symptoms of Problem: VME Matrix board and some other VME cards do not run in the TT030. Solution: The TT030 main PCB must be reworked in order to fix the problem. The following rework instructions pertain to the REV B.1 and REV D main PCBs. 1. Remove the 74ALS30 at position U711 and replace it with a 7430 part numer C101609-030. Be sure not to solder pin 8 in place. 2. Remove the 74LS244 at position U705 and replace it with a 74F244 part number C300258-244. 3. Cut pin 6 of IC U701. 4. Run a wire from pin 1 of U704 to Pin 11 of U702. 5. Prepare pins 17, 18, and 19 of U703 for soldering in the next three steps. Cut pins 17, 18, and 19 of U703 leaving about 1/32" of lead. 6. Run a wire from U703 pin 17 to U705 pin 13. 7. Run a wire from U703 pin 18 to U705 pin 17. 8. Run a wire from U703 pin 19 to U705 pin 15. 9. Run a wire from U705 pin 3 to U701 pin 12. --- Page 2 --- Atari Technical Bulletin Number: TT30-0007 Date: June 30, 1992 Page 2 of 2 10. Run a wire from U705 pin 5 to U702 pin 13. 11. Run a wire from U705 pin 7 to U702 pin 14. 12. Prepare U711 pin 8 for soldering in the next step. Cut pin 8 of U711 leaving 1/32" of lead. 13. Add a resistor, R702 47 Ohms part number 14-5470/A, between U711 pin 8 and the solder pad for U711 pin 8.
