As per our phone conversation here is the way I see it.

Left Field News Desk

Weather Segment

INT. - NEWS DESK - REPORTER SAM SKY - NIGHT

MCU of NEWS STAND IN at news desk. NEWS STAND IN for TED pitches to WEATHER DESK after news.

MCU SAM SKY is sitting in the chair looking exactly as he did the previous show. Still has charcoal on his face and a ripped shirt. NEWS STAND IN reacts to him as if he hasn't bathed in two weeks. SAM opens with a few words.

SAM

And now for the weather. It was partly sunny all this week in the D/FW area, but it's still raining in my heart.

CU Weather Map as SAM points to the weather map.

SAM

But we'll fix that.

MCU WA Sam reaches under table and pulls out wires with bare copper ends. He hands one end to the reporter.

SAM

Could you hold this for me?


MCU as SAM pours some water into a LEFT FIELD COFFEE CUP and douses the NEWS STAND IN. Then SAM grabs the other end of the wire and both NEWS STAND IN and SAM begin to shake. In a shaky voice NEWS STAND IN (as if being electrocuted) pitches back to JANET.

NEWS STAND IN

 Well, that's all we have time for. So long for Left Field News....
