The keyboard, LCD Display, and Mouse/Joypad are contained in one integrated unit. The STBook is based on the 68HC000 microprocessor running at 8 MHz and is Atari STE compatible. The LCD panel contains the HDD LED, Reset Button, Power LED, Power Button, and Sleep Button. The main body houses the Keyboard, Vector Pad, Speaker Volume Dial, And Lcd Contrast Dial. See Figure 1. Figure 1 2.2 Rear View The rear of the ATARI STBook computer contains connections for the Serial Port, External ACSI/Hard Disk/Floppy Interface, Parallel Port, MIDI In, MIDI Out, and External Power Connector. Figure 3 3.0 Power Supply 3.1 Power Supply Specifications An internal DC power supply provides power to the main system board and LCD. All power levels are regulated for over-voltage and over-current protection. The following are minimal power supply specifications: VCC: Input 8 to 20V Output 5V +/-1%, 1A maximum steady-state; peaks to 3A MTR: Input 8 to 20V Output 5V +/-1%, 1A maximum steady-state; peaks to 3A LCD BIAS: Input 8 to 20V Output -12 to -17V (User adjustable), 50MA.
