Accomplishments

1.	Continued mark-up of Sparrow Service Guide Chapter 2.

2.	Completed PAL description for Sparrow Service Guide Chapter 2.

3.	Finished sparrow overall block diagram  for service guide.

4.	Added power supply specification to sparrow service guide chapter 1.

5.	Logged on to MANMAN for Sparrow BOM's.

6.	Completed changes to Sparrow Service Guide Chapter 2 through IDE I/O Section.

7.	Started conversion of Sparrow Service Guide Chapter 2 to ASCII text. It will be easier to finish text edits in this mode.

8.	Printed final rough draft of chapter 1 of Sparrow Service Guide.

9.	Converted text file of Sparrow Chapter 1 to PageStream v2.2.

10.	Edited print style for Sparrow Service Guide.

11.	Created GEM file of Sparrow Expansion PCB for Bill Rehbock in Sunnyvale.

12.	Got STBook Document data tree from Scott Barrows. Will generate a request to pull documents needed for a Service Guide.

13.	Got together with Gary Shimko to gather information for Service Guides for 2600 and 7800.

14.	Requested ECO info from Robert Joplin, Jerry Smith to create ATB's for TT030 and MEGA STE.

15.	Printed MEGA STE Addendum for review. Got on MANMAN to pull new BOMs and ECO History.

16.	Got in touch with contract programmer to get diagnostics for Sparrow Service Guide Chapter 3.

Plans

1.	Produce Service Guides for STBook, Portfolio, 2600, Falcon040, and 7800 products.

2.	Finish Sparrow Service Guide Chapters 2 and  3 with all diagnostic edits.

3.	Finish Sparrow Service Guide Chapter 4 when Mechanical information code for field is available.

4.	Continue work on Falcon040 Service Guide once ASIC Specifications are available.

5.	Complete Sparrow Service Guide rough draft.

6.	Continue test of PageStream v2.2 beta and convert existing documents to that format.

7.	Complete Falcon040 Service Guide.

8.	Complete conversion of MEGA STE Service Guide to PageStream.

9.	Complete conversions of manuals to Ventura 4.0.

10.	Complete printing of user docs for Windows 3.1.

11.	Finish final copy of Falcon030 Power Supply Spec. for archives.

12.	Set up Engineering Document Control Center.

13.	Get Sparrow Diagnostics for Service Guide Chapter 3.

Problems

1.	PageStream v2.2 beta works with GEM files now, however, some other problems still remain. Text search and replace causes failure. It is a simple work around and shouldn't cause great problems in document creation.

2.	Upgrade disks for DynaCADD not fixed. Have given up. Leonard Tramiel has copy of problem. Working. Leonard has new update which he will send that fixes problems.

3.	Need ASIC specifications for Falcon and Sparrow. Have IO controller documentation.  Need rest.

4.	Need memory manager for system that will run concurrentlywith the NFS network. Have a shortage of memory. Someapplications can only be run under Windows, although theyare DOS applications. Have tried several. No fix can befound. Will have to live with memory as is.

5.	Need updated ASIC information on Sparrow changes regarding SDMA. Have rough draft from J. Hoenig that contains many errors. J. Horton working hard to resolve issues.

6.	Need final copies of Sparrow Diagnostics when they are completed. Must add them to existing draft of service guide.
