Picked up copies of the STE, TT030, and MEGA STE Service manuals requested by Sandra Miller and shipped them to Sunnyvale. 2. Generated a rough completion schedule for all projectscurrently being worked. 3. Generated a detailed document production procedure which should hold true for all documents produced by Product Engineering (Service and Option). 4. Finished TT030 Correction pages and got them to the printer for production with a cover letter to the subs. 5. Completed TT030 system build and began realtime work on project conversion from the PC. 6. Started conversion of STE+ Chapter 1 and 2. Plans 1. Complete layout the STE+ Service guide chapter 1 and 2 on the TT030 using PageStream. 2. Develop schedule for Richard Miller on status of all projects. 3. Get info for SOTEC machine and begin work on MARLIN Owner's and Service Guide. 4. Contact SoftLogik on problems with PageStream. 5. Contact Imagen on problems with Ultrascript. 6. Convert all files from PC based application to TT030. 7. Convert all drawings from PC based applications to theTT030. 8. Finish Chapter 3 of the STE+ Service Guide. 9. Get review of the 2MB floppy drives back and produce final drafts. 10. Get review copy back and make corrections to the MEGA STE Addendum. --- Page 2 --- Problems 1. Still need BOM's for the ABC286, PC3, and ABC386SX. Current copies not legible. 2. TT030 based applications very slow and tedious. 3. Still have no review copy of the 2MB floppy kit manuals for the TT030 or MEGA STE. 4. Have no review copy of the MEGA STE Addendum. 5. Need more info from SUVL on MARLIN MSDOS Manual to use as base for Users Guide. 6. PageStream does not work properly with large size files. This will make it almost impossible to create documents of the type we are doing now. 7. Ultrascript does not accept certain control codes which causes it not to print certain characters or graphics. This problem may make the use of the TT030 for DTP here impossible. Only solution is to create copy in postscript and send out to be image set. High cost, no guarantee of quality. 8. DynaCADD may not be producing output that is compatible with PageStream, even though it can produce a GEM format file, you cannot see it in PageStream and that is a problem thatis also linked to problem number 7. Without being able to see what we have, either printed here or sent out, we have no control over what is actually produced.
