14.4 Universal ClockpatchUniversal-Clockpatch für den Atari Falcon
Ein Beitrag von Werner Frey@D
für DOITF030 Grundgedanke:
Bis man den "richtigen" Clockpatch gefunden hat
muß die arme Falcon-Platine
Abhilfe kann diese kleine Platine schaffen.
If you have trouble with the DMA sound subsystem, some data on
your hard drive are defective while writing, the one and only answer
is: install ClockPatch
A long time was waste by searching the right patch system. The
falcon mainboard doasn't like hard solder sessions, mostly some solder
points on the mainboard goes defective after some tests. Werner Frey
designed a smal pcb-board that contain ANY kind of falcon ClockPatch.
Have a look to the pictures and the schematic below. You only have to
solder the pcb ONE time into your falcon, any other test, chip
chanching you can do on top of the board. Not any solder points more
to the mainboad!
It's simple to replace and 74F04 with an 74F08 and so on.. All
what you have to do is: set the right jumper! With jumper setting 2-3
you can try all positions for clock deleay. I'm sure you will found
the right setting quick as you remove any other patch and try the next
one..

Sinn und Zweck:
Arbeitsweise:
R221 = CPUCLKA (FPU + SoundDMA) R222 = CPUCLKB (CPU) R216 = CPUCLKC (EXP. Slot) In der Jumperstellung 2-3 kann nun individuell einzelne
Verzögerungen ein- und ausgeschaltet werden.
